SAMANTHA BROWN ON TRAVEL CHANNEL TONIGHT REMINDS ME OF PAST TRIPS

I enjoyed a Travel Channel show tonight. Samantha Brown took a Mediterranean cruise and visited Barcelona, Nice, Pisa, Florence, Naples, Venice, Dubrovnik, Corfu, Rome and more. I’ve been in Nice, Pisa & Florence. I would love to see the beautiful Greek island of Corfu.

I did see another beautiful Greek Island, Aegina, in 1992 when I spent 3 days in Greece after a week in the Holy Land. In early February, 3 of us took a train from Athens to the Port of Piraeus and then a hydrofoil to Aegina. The distant mountains on the mainland were snow-covered. But the weather on the Saronic Gulf was quite comfortable. We enjoyed 3 exceptionally clear days in Greece. I took some great photos of the Acropolis and other places in Athens as well as on Aegina and in Corinth.

The photo above is a view from a hilltop overlooking the Aghia Marina on Aegina, one of many photos of Aegina found at Trip Advsor.
